She's Crafty

My friends Andrew and Carrie invited me to come up to Modesto to celebrate their daughter's 1st birthday. Unfortunately, it is quite a drive and more gas than I would like to spend money on, so I decided I'd at least do my part by making her a nice gift and sending it to her.

I used some of the leftover fabric from the pillowcases I made my mom, a plain photo album, some batting, some ribbon, lacy trim and a hot glue gun to make a cute little photo album for her

I'm considering going to the craft store and picking up some little iron on letters to personalize it with her name on the side.

No one seemed interested in learning how to do the pillowcases but I guess I'll offer it again. If anyone is interested in learning how to make one of these, I can try to post a little step by step blogaroo over the summer.

I think you should start a DIY (Do It Yourself) blog. There are a lot of women out there "googling" DIY projects. I'm one of them.

You might be the next Martha Stewart out there.

Just do it girl! I would never ask, but sometimes I read things and it clicks something in my brain to make either that or something else with the info. :)
