Ew

Not to turn you off to cats or anything Marni, but one of the cats PEED IN MY PURSE.

Oh yes, this is no lie. Peed in my purse.

I carry one of those rather large bohemian slouchy kinda purses. I went in it today for a piece of gum (before leaving the house thankfully) and noticed the gum package was all water damaged. At first, I figured my water bottle had leaked, but upon further inspection found that it was brand new, and hadn't even been opened. yet.

Then, I smelled it. Basically everything that was in there smells like cat piss. Fortunately, during the week, I keep my phone and wallet in my backpack, so those two important things were spared. Unfortunately my hairbrush, lip gloss, sunglasses pouch and camera case all reek. Since the purse was only about 22 bucks when I got it, I tossed the whole thing in the trash, along with many of the items inside.

This is NOT a normal behavior. I did recently buy a new, bigger cat box so I could get both cats using the same one. If baby did it, I'm assuming it is because she does not like sharing, or is mad about the new cat. If Tawny did it, It may be because she wasn't used to an enclosed litter box...or is being a snot. I'm good at scooping the box at least twice-three times a week, so I don't think it was because it was messy.

At this point, I can't discipline either because I don't know who it was, and it is too long since the behavior happened for them to even know why they are in trouble anyway. All I can do is get rid of all the stinky stuff and HOPE this doesn't happen again.

Ick.
